Luke Binks
Hailing from Brisbane, Australia but now living in California USA.

Luke is a Historian and Professional Jouster working for Historic Enterprises.

Motto: “Gloria virtutis remuneratio est” (Glory is the Reward of Valor)

Luke Binks discovered jousting at the Abbey in 2002, after performing with the 'Knights Order of Lion Rampant' since he was 16.  A natural with horse and lance, Luke has consistently ranked in the top 3 at every tournament he has competed in bar 1 where he took a 4th place.  With his jousting taking him to New Zealand, Belgium, Germany and America where his prowess at the joust and easygoing smile makes him a favourite with competitors and fans alike.  Luke is the Current Champion of the Abbeys 'Tournament of St Michael' and intends to retain his title for at least another year!

Sara Hay

Lady Sara is a new jousting rider, inspired by the action and excitement of the 2007 Ironfest tournament.  Her motto is ‘Virtute.  Ardore.  Fide.’ Meaning ‘Courage. Passion. Integrity’.   Her shield is red, white and blue with a golden griffin, representing ‘courageous vigilance’.

Sara has ridden competitively for nearly 3 decades.  Events have ranged from hacking, dressage, jumping, western riding, campdrafting and sidesaddle.  She lives at the base of the Blue Mountains in Western Sydney with her 11 horses and is jousting on a thoroughbred named 'William' Who carried Sir Luke to Victory at the Abbey in 2007.

Warren Lambley

Warren’s re-enactors name is Williem De Lambley, a night of England in the service of King Richard II.

He has been a member of the KNIGHTS ORDER OF LION RAMPANT for 10 years.

Warren won the skill at arms in 2007 and qualified level 2 International Jousting Association.

Dean Maynard

International Jousting Association: Level: 2

Prior to taking up jousting Dean was involved in other aspects of medieval re-enactment participating in foot tourneys for over 16 years.

Dean took a lance shard through his visor in 2007 - narrowly missing his eye.  Dean wishes his fellow jousters all the best and hopes for a good clean, hard tilt.

Brendan Meade
Re-enactor name: Reichsgraf von preussun Konrad von Rorhbach

21 years of age, Brendon was born and raised in the Brisbane area and has been re-enacting since he was 1.  He has been jousting for last two years.  When not jousting you will see Brendon on the field under the same name and colours re-enacting a Teutonic general.  He has been horse riding since he was 7 years old.
