FAQ's for the Tournament weekend

Credit Card Facilities

Credit Card facilities for ticket purchase are available at the Festival's Tournament gates.  Cash out is ONLY available from the Museum Shop and Museum Information Centre inside the festival grounds.

Parking

Free parking is available.  There is an easy walk of about  250-500 metres (depending on available parking spaces) to the Tournament grounds.

Disabled Access
The Tournament ground is relatively flat, but for the first year walkways will be only gravel or grass.  There is a drop-off point for elderly or disabled people about 70 metres from the Festival entrance.

Safety

The Festival organisers do their best to ensure your safety.  All official events are designed for the safety of the public.  Stallholders are not allowed to sell unpackaged weapons.  All our re-enactors undergo rigorous training before being allowed to carry weapons.  Please read  CONDITIONS OF ENTRY before bringing weapons to the Festival.  Please observe the venue barriers for your own safety.

First Aid
St John’s Ambulance is on location during the day at the Festival Ground.

Lost children
The Tournament is such a safe family event that parents often misplace their children.  Please help us make your day anxiety-free by writing your mobile phone number on your child’s wrist band.

Toilets

Toilet facilities are available in the Festival area.  There are disabled toilet facilities.

Alcohol

Please note: No BYO.   The Tavern carries a range of beer, cider and wines.

Food Outlets
Hot food and drinks are available in the Tournament area for purchase.  Or you are welcome to bring your own feast.

Seating
Grandstand seating is available at the Main Lists and Jousting Lists, depending on crowds.  We would advise bringing either folding chairs or blankets.

Dogs and other animals
The public are NOT permitted to bring dogs or other animals to the Tournament.

Camping
No camping facilities are available to the general public.
